Placenta

The oval form refers to a womb—a tranquil and nourishing place. At the ground layer lies calligraphy, a mantra that prays for home. Black and bright colours convey a sensation of outer space and at the same time a flower field—a trick that shifts the mind toward a safe space, a refuge. The work is an attempt to gather home-like warmth from fragments and remnants. Navigating migration and an unfamiliar culture, I found myself losing ground—questioning where home was, whether it still existed. Considering space as home becalms, fills with vitality, and gives strength to resist and to stay sincere.
